Brief History

Organization of CDA Secunderabad was formed on 1st November, 1994. The then Area Accounts Office(Army) Secunderabad was merged and upgraded as CDA Secunderabad with effect from 3rd February, 1995. The CDA Secunderabad was given the status of the full fleged Accounting Unit with effect from 1st April, 1995.

Location

Main Office of CDA, Secunderabad is located in the twin cities of Hyderabad & Secunderabad. It is about 40 Kms from Rajiv Gandhi International Airport, Hyderabad, 5 Kms from Secunderabad Railway Station and 12 Kms from Hyderabad Railway Station.

The Main Office of CDA Secunderabad is primarily responsible for:

1. Audit, payment, classification and accounting of bills relating to pay and to pay and allowances, T.A., etc of civilian officers and subordinates
2. miscellaneous allowances & contingencies
3. payment of bills for stores, supplies and works
4. local audit of the stores and MES accounts
5. inspection of cash accounts of units and formations under audit jurisdiction of CDA Secunderabad
6. chief authority for accounts and internal audit of all Army formations including MES units under audit jurisdiction of CDA Secunderabad
